January 6th, 2022 Islip, NY – The Town of Islip Youth Bureau’s Coat Drive received a generous donation of coats from students of the Connetquot High School Interact Club. Students and teachers donated coats, hats and other winter apparel that will be given out families in need within the Town of Islip. Coats for all ages, including babies, toddlers and young children were collected for distribution.

“The students and teachers of the Interact Club organized a successful coat drive, and on behalf of the families in our Town who will benefit, their efforts are deeply appreciated,” said Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter.

The Islip Town Youth Bureau Coat Drive is still underway, collecting new and gently used winter coats, gloves, scarves and hats. Donations can be dropped off at the Town of Islip Youth Bureau located at 401 Main St., Islip or at Islip Town Hall, 655 Main St., Islip.
