Councilman Cochrane’s Office to Lead New Edition of Islip’s “Journals of War Veterans”

Islip, NY – Islip Town Councilman John Cochrane Jr. will soon begin collecting names and biographical information of certain Islip veterans to be featured in the latest edition of Islip’s Journal of War Veterans.  Past editions of the Journal have covered those Islip residents who served in World War Two, Korea, Vietnam, and other modern conflicts.  The new edition is slated to chronicle the actions of all combat veterans who have served in the first Gulf War to the present War on Terror.

Prior editions of the Journal have relied upon residents submitting their own family’s history as it relates to the current edition.  Islip residents are encouraged to send their submissions to Councilman Cochrane’s office at 655 Main Street, Islip NY 11751.  Submissions may also be sent electronically to This email address is being protected from spambots.
