Carleton Avenue Sewer Extension

- DETOUR EAST on SMITH towards KENMORE.
Construction of the Carleton Avenue Sewer Extension in Central Islip will begin in August 2023, and is expected to be completed in November 2024. Once completed, property owners within the sewer extension area will have the opportunity to connect to the new sewer extension.
If you are the owner of one or more single family residential properties, or commercial properties located within the extension area, and have received our letter directing you to the islipny.gov website, please refer to the following information.
The approximate location of the sewer connection will be identified along the curb line in the coming months.

*To connect properties to the new sewer, you must complete and submit:
- FOR RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES: Application for General Building Sewer Connection and Discharger Permit
- FOR COMMCERIAL PROPERTIES: Application for Special Building Sewer Connection
These documents must be submitted to the SCDPW, Sewer Permit Office, at 335 Yaphank Ave., Yaphank, NY 11980.
A list of SCDPW Approved Sewer Contractors have been included in each of the application documents linked above. It is suggested that you contact several sewer contractors to secure price quotes.
