January 22nd, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter visited the Town’s Brentwood Recreation Center COVID-19 test site recently, to show her appreciation to the Good Samaritan Hospital nurses and nurse practitioners who have been conducting COVID testing since the site opened November 18th.

December 10th, 2020–Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter recently met with 5 freshmen from Sayville High School, to honor them for their efforts to help the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The students, Molly Brady, Courtney Thornton, Fallon Santoro, Elizabeth Sheehan and Loghan McNamara, created a GoFundMe page to raise money for “Little Free Pantries,” to help residents experiencing food insecurities.

January 13th, 2021 – Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter recently presented Anthony “Tony” Sciallo with a citation marking his retirement from the Town of Islip. Tony began his career with the Town at the WRAP facility in 1987; a year later, he moved to the shellfish hatchery cultivating clams and oysters for the next 24 years.
