February 7th, 2020 – Town of Islip employees joined Go Red for Women Friday, wearing red to raise awareness and uncover the truth about heart disease in women.
Go Red for Women gives women a fighting chance against heart disease, by helping them understand their common killer.

January 30th, 2020 – Meghan O'Reilly, a junior at SUNY New Paltz, was recognized by Supervisor Angie Carpenter at Town Hall recently. The East Islip High School graduate completed a mural of an oyster's life cycle this summer at the Town's Shellfish Hatchery in East Islip.

January 27th, 2020 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and the Islip Town Board, approved a resolution authorizing the first female in the Town of Islip to take ownership of one parcel of Town-owned Bay Bottom Land for the purpose of shellfish cultivation in the Great South Bay.
