December 10th, 2021 – Christmas came early for the members of the Suffolk Detachment Marines Corps League in Bay Shore, who discovered an abundance of anonymously donated toys on the steps of its Bay Shore office recently. Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, Councilman John C. Cochrane, Jr. and Town of Islip Youth Bureau Director, Tim Mare, were joined by members of the Suffolk Detachment Marines Corps League who graciously donated the toys to the Town of Islip “Marines Toys for Tots” toy drive. Games, dolls, cars, and stuffed animals were among the many gifts that will be distributed through the program to children within the Town of Islip community.

December 22nd, 2021 – Town of Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined the family of Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Sergeant Keith Allison at a street renaming ceremony in honor of the late Sergeant. Inv. Sgt. Allison died December 17th, 2020 from complications due to COVID-19. He was 52.
