November 2nd, 2023 –
Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and NYS Assemblyman Phil Ramos unveiled a newly renovated park in Brentwood today. Ross Memorial Park, once the site of homelessness, illegal drug activity and a clash with police, had been shuttered by Town officials in September 2020 after members of the Suffolk County Police Department determined that the park had been a “hot spot” for illegal activity and loitering.

October 30th, 2023 – More than 30,000 people turned out for the 43rd Annual Town of Islip Apple Fest Saturday at the Islip Grange in Sayville. Sunshine and blue skies made for the perfect backdrop as festival goers enjoyed food, craft vendors, LIVE music, line dancing, petting zoo, amusement rides, games, a scarecrow contest and more!
