April 13th, 2023 – Children of all ages, and those young at heart, are enjoying Sayville's newest playground at Sayville Marina Park. Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter; Councilman James P. O'Connor; Councilman John M. Lorenzo; Tom Owens, Commissioner Town of Islip Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs and Deirdre Wahlberg, Deputy Commissioner, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs joined with local residents to cut the ribbon at the new facility along the picturesque Great South Bay.

March 29th, 2023 – Town Councilman John C. Cochrane, Jr., US Navy Captain, Ret., visited West Islip High School on Tuesday, March 29th, for their annual Vietnam Veterans memorial ceremony, honoring the 8 US service members from West Islip killed in action during the Vietnam War.

March 24th, 2023 – Enthusiastic skaters, community groups, parents and kids joined with Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, state officials and members of the Islip Town Board today, at a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the unveiling and grand opening of the long-awaited Roberto Clemente Skateboard Park in Brentwood.
