April 14th, 2022 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter presented her annual State of the Town address Monday, echoing a theme of unity, inclusivity and the importance of partnerships. The 35-minute address highlighted new programs and initiatives on the horizon, those that have already been implemented Town-wide, while also commending town employees and residents for coming together and showing their strength and resolve during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

March 24th, 2022 – Town of Islip officials unveiled a new, state-of-the-art, 12,000 sf Ground Transportation Center (GTC) at Long Island MacArthur Airport today. The GTC centralizes all ground transportation to serve visitors and Long Island travelers with a more modern facility. Now rental cars, taxis, buses, auto transport, ride-hailing services, hotel courtesy shuttles and Suffolk Bus provides transportation services from the GTC.

March 21st, 2022 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Navy Veteran Councilman John C. Cochrane, Jr. paid tribute to 99-year-old WWII Veteran Nicholas Leo. Pvt. Leo joined the United States Army at 19 years old as a member of the 23rd Headquarters Special Troop.
