Town Officials Recognize Kind-Hearted, Enterprising Young Resident

August 21st, 2019 – Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter and members of the Town Board recognized at the August Town Board meeting, 10 year-old Oliver Rivadeneyra who for the past 5 years, has been selling lemonade, limeade and baked goods from “Oliver’s Lemonade Stand” outside his Islip Terrace house.

The festivities kick-off at 6:00 pm with fun activities for all ages. Create a glass candle holder, paint a sea shell, or be wowed by oversized bubbles! The band will start playing 60's, 70's, country hits and more starting at 7:00 pm. Bring your chairs, blankets, coolers and friends for one last night of music under the Summer stars in the Town of Islip.

In Memory of Former Islip Town Clerk Hon. Joan Johnson

August 13th, 2019 – Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter today announced that former Islip Town Clerk Hon. Joan Johnson died last weekend. She was 86.

Islip Continues 335th Birthday Celebration with August Restaurant Month

July 25th, 2019 – Restaurants and merchants in Islip, East Islip, Great River, Holbrook and Ronkonkoma will help the Town of Islip continue its year-long 335th birthday celebration by offering specials throughout the month of August. Customers will find items priced at $16.83 or $3.35, which commemorate 1683, the year the Town received its first patent, or the Town's birthday year, 335.
