October 30th, 2019 – Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with members of the First Baptist Church of Bay Shore to spruce up 5 homes on Harrison Ave. and Harrison Place recently. The initiative, Spruce Up Bay Shore, brings volunteers together to paint, repair porches and do all they can to help fix-up homes in the area.

October 29th, 2019 – Roofs on the pavilion and gazebo at Islip Town Beach on South Bay Ave in Islip were recently replaced.
October 25th, 2019 – Town of Islip officials broke ground in Central Islip today, in preparation for what will be the new location of a more than 17,000 sf state-of-the-art animal shelter, complete with an on-site surgical room and double the number of viewing rooms.
