May 13th, 2022 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter had the honor of throwing out the first pitch for the opening game of the Suffolk County Town Senior Softball League. The call to “play ball” marks the first time Islip 60+ Buccaneers Softball Club players will step onto the diamond for league play.

May 12th, 2022 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter recently joined alongside friends and family of FDNY Firefighter Joseph R. Rivelli, Jr. for the memorial street re-dedication ceremony of Rivelli Way in West Islip. Firefighter Rivelli was among the many first responders to have heroically paid the ultimate sacrifice on September 11th, 2001.

April 29th, 2022 – The Town of Islip Unity Council held its inaugural “Lunchtime Speaker Series,” with a compelling presentation and Q & A from Holocaust survivor Edith Gross, of Oakdale. The event marked the debut of the Council, a restructuring of the Anti-Bias Task Force, reframed to better focus on inclusivity, diversity, equity and accessibility (IDEA) in the Town of Islip.
