January 6th, 2021 – Long Island MacArthur Airport is once again, a nominee for the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Small Airport. The nominees were released today and voting is underway through 12 Noon on Monday, February 1.

December 14th, 2020 – Hundreds of cars turned out for the Town of Islip's FREE Drive-In Movie Sunday night at Brookwood Hall in East Islip. The final movie of the ever popular drive-in series was ELF, starring Will Ferrell.

December 11th, 2020– Town of Islip employees went above and beyond this holiday season, giving generously to the 2020 Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. Town staff adopted more than 60 “Angels,” and carefully selected toys, bicycles, dolls, clothing, games and more from each child’s wish list. Gifts were bundled, labeled and taken back to Salvation Army headquarters in Northport, where they’ll be distributed to families in need
