December 14th, 2020 – Hundreds of cars turned out for the Town of Islip's FREE Drive-In Movie Sunday night at Brookwood Hall in East Islip. The final movie of the ever popular drive-in series was ELF, starring Will Ferrell.
The grounds of Brookwood Hall were decorated with festive ornaments crafted by Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs staff. A Dang Barbecue Food Truck was on hand for hungry moviegoers.
The Town of Islip Drive-In Movie series, which kicked-off over the summer, was sponsored by Good Samaritan Hospital, a member of Catholic Health Services, Long Island.
"We found a silver lining during COVID, and that was the launch of our Drive-In Movie series this summer. We're delighted that so many families enjoyed our FREE movies, and we're excited to announce that we plan to bring Drive-In Movie Night back for the 2021 season," said Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
