Services that Youth & Families can rely on!
The Town of Islip Youth Bureau and Youth Board know that Kids Really Do Count! Together they work with four non-for-profit agencies to provide services Townwide for youth under the age of 21. Counseling services for youth and their families are provided in strict confidence, by qualified counselors.

Each agency has a community board composed of representatives from the communities they serve. The Community Boards determine the types of programs that will be offered based upon the needs of the community.
The programs include such key services as:

Central Islip Cordello Elementary School
Creative Expression through Dance & Movement; Increased Self-Awareness, Improved Self-Image, Positive Social Experience.
This program is offered at David Sanders Dance Dynamics at 4110 Sunrise Highway in Oakdale. Participants will receive modern dance lessons and will participate in recital performances. Open to the developmentally disabled, from ages six through 21 years of age. You can download and print the Modern Dance Program Application, or call the phone number above to receive one my mail.

Islip Youth Bureau Board:
Membership on the Youth Board is reflective of the ethnic, racial, and geographic characteristics of the Town. One-third of its members
must be under the age of twenty-one.
