December 11th, 2020– Town of Islip employees went above and beyond this holiday season, giving generously to the 2020 Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. Town staff adopted more than 60 “Angels,” and carefully selected toys, bicycles, dolls, clothing, games and more from each child’s wish list. Gifts were bundled, labeled and taken back to Salvation Army headquarters in Northport, where they’ll be distributed to families in need .
“Each holiday season, our town staff are excited to select their angels, and I am always deeply moved by their continued generosity,” said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “This year more than ever, families need our help, and we’re ever so grateful to the Salvation Army for this opportunity,” said the Supervisor.
Salvation Army representatives were joined by Supervisor Carpenter, Councilman James O’Connor and the Supervisor’s staff at collection time.
