October 11th, 2019 – Town of Islip DPW crews have been working around the clock to mitigate coastal flooding caused by the recent storm system that swept through the area. All storm-related equipment is being utilized until the flood waters recede.

October 10th, 2019 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by Rep. Peter King, Co-Chair of the newly formed Congressional Caucus to End the Youth Vaping Epidemic, Islip Town Board members John Cochrane and Mary Kate Mullen, Islip Town officials, and representatives from the technology industry, at a press conference Wednesday to address growing concerns over the vaping public health crisis.

October 7th, 2019 – Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center officials celebrated the opening of a comprehensive cancer center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony recently.
Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with fellow local officials, hospital administrators, doctors, surgeons and volunteers, to welcome the new center to the community.
