October 7th, 2019 – Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center officials celebrated the opening of a comprehensive cancer center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony recently.
Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with fellow local officials, hospital administrators, doctors, surgeons and volunteers, to welcome the new center to the community.
“We are truly fortunate to have a world-class cancer center right here in the Town of Islip. This new center will afford patients exceptional quality of care,” said Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
The new center offers mental health, dietary, genetic counseling, social work and nutrition services. Patient navigators will assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating care.
