September 27th, 2019 – Islip Town officials kicked-off “Islip Goes Purple” Thursday, demonstrating the Town’s unity in memory of the lives lost, those in recovery, those struggling and the Islip families affected by the Opioid/Heroin crisis.

August 30th, 2019 – The Town of Islip hosted a Family Fun Day recently, to mark the Town's continued year-long 335 Birthday celebration.

Hundreds of residents turned out under magnificently sunny skies for games, giant bubble making, face painting, FREE hot dogs courtesy of the Brentwood Fire Department, music by Latinology, autographs from Cosmos Soccer players, a pick-up basketball game with SCPD officers and Town of Islip Public Safety Officers, giveaways and a complimentary swim in the newly renovated Olympic-size Clemente swimming pool.

August 30th, 2019 – Students from the Town of Islip's 2019 Open Water Swim Jr. Lifeguard program came to Islip's Atlantique Beach Saturday, August 24 to celebrate the culmination of an 8-week program by demonstrating their newly learned skills in a series of open water competitions.
