May 17th, 2019– Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by Islip Public Safety Commissioner, Anthony D'Amico, Long Island MacArthur Airport Commissioner Shelley LaRose-Arken and Islip Town officials, at a ceremony marking the second graduating class of the 2019 Town of Islip Peace Officer Academy. The graduation coincided with National Police Week, May 12-17, and took place in Town Hall.

May 6th, 2019 – Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone today to announce the Suffolk County Office for the Aging will be on the receiving end of an additional $2.5 million dollars in State funding that was secured in the 2019 State Budget.

May 1st, 2019 – Frontier Airlines launched new nonstop service to Raleigh-Durham International Airport from Long Island MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma. Angie Carpenter, Islip Town Supervisor, and Shelley LaRose-Arken, Airport Commissioner, joined elected officials, business leaders, and local tourism stakeholders to celebrate the new nonstop, the first of its kind from MacArthur Airport, (ISP) to the rapidly growing region of Raleigh-Durham, N.C.
