April 18th, 2019– The Town of Islip Department of Public Safety annual vehicle and equipment auction was a huge success, with more than 300 pieces sold. Two boats, three street sweepers and a 2012 Nissan Rogue were among the items sold.
Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and DPW Commissioner Tom Owens joined with event organizers, Islip Public Safety Commissioner Tony D'Amico and Deputy Commissioner Tony Prudenti, who together, oversaw the collection and cataloging of items.
"Everyone with an interest benefits from an auction of this type. The vehicles can be restored and equipment parts can be salvaged and re-purposed. It's a win win," said Supervisor Carpenter.
