Phone Call Scam-Town of Islip Residents

The Town of Islip has been made aware of reports of scam phone calls in which individuals claim to represent the Town and offer residents "refunds" or other financial incentives.

Please be advised that the Town of Islip does not call residents with offers of refunds, financial benefits, or requests for personal or banking information.

If you receive such a call:

• Do not share any personal, financial, or account information.
• Hang up immediately.
• You may report suspicious calls to the Suffolk County Police Department's non-emergency line or to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at reportfraud.ftc.gov.

The Town of Islip takes residents' privacy and security seriously and appreciates the community's vigilance in reporting suspicious activity.
