Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. That's dangerous and often tragic. That is why the Community Ambulance Company is partnering with the United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), NYS Assemblyman Andrew Garbarino and the Great South Bay Coalition will be participating in the 19th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday October 24,2020 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.
This initiative provides an opportunity for our community to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths. The public can drop off medications at the Community Ambulance Company located at 420 Lakeland Avenue in Sayville. The drop off location is conveniently located in the front of the building, making it easy to drive up and drop off the medications without delay. Please arrive wearing a mask and practice social distancing.
The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
