June 20th,2019 – East Islip Wrestling Coach Guy Leggio was honored at the June Town Board meeting, in recognition of his induction last month into the Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame.

Coach Leggio spent 21 seasons as the East Islip High School wrestling coach, propelling the program into a success story, and compiling a 270-115-5 record. Leggio was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2014.

Leggio joined his father, Jumper Leggio, a legend in the world of youth wrestling, in the Hall of Fame.
