ISLIP, NY – November 25th, 2025 - Islip Food for Hope set a record this year, collecting enough donated supplies to provide more than 1,100 Thanksgiving 'Boxes of Love’ to local families in need, bringing holiday cheer to families across the Town of Islip with its annual Thanksgiving distribution at Casamento Park in West Islip.

Volunteers gathered to hand out turkeys and hundreds of 'Boxes of Love' filled with all the essentials needed to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal including stuffing, yams, green beans, and cranberry sauce.

“We are truly blessed by the generosity of our community,” said Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “Each year, we are able to help more families enjoy a warm and meaningful Thanksgiving. On behalf of the members of the Islip Town Board, we wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season.”
