Islip, NY – Friends, family, and neighbors of Brentwood Fire Department's Ex-Chief Chris J. Allen gathered today to honor his life and legacy. A lifelong resident of Newman Street, Chris served the Brentwood Fire Department with honor and dedication for forty-five years until his tragic passing in 2025.

Today, the Town memorialized him and the meaningful impact he made on the Brentwood community by dedicating the street he lived on in his name, Ex-Chief Chris J. Allen Way.

Among the speakers, Islip Town Councilman Jorge Guadron and Tax Receiver Andy Whitman both gave heartfelt speeches and presented the family with a citation on behalf of Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and the Town Board.
