Keep Islip Clean is hosting a special September Meeting, with guest speaker Martin J. Bellew, who will discuss his experiences with investigation and cleanup after the World Trade Center attacks.
Martin is currently the Commissioner of the Dept. of Environmental Control for the Town of Islip, and was director of the DSNY's Bureau of Waste Disposal Engineering from 1999 to 2005. The talk focuses on events at Ground Zero immediately after the attacks to the conclusion of cleanup ten months later.
