Ring in the holiday cheer with fun for the whole family at the Town of Islip Holiday Market, featuring dozens of craft and gift vendor booths and a variety of food trucks!

The holiday market will take place on Saturday, December 2nd from 12pm to 8pm at the Islip Town Hall Parking Lot located at 655 Main St., Islip.

Santa’s North Pole Mailbox will be at the market for little ones to mail their letters! A special preview of the Town’s Holiday Light Show will take place at Brookwood Hall from 5pm to 8pm, and Santa Claus will be sure to make an appearance.

The Bay Area Chorus of BAFFA presents ‘Tis the Season featuring music of the holidays plus an audience sing-a-long on December 3rd at Patchogue United Methodist Church. The concert features The Pergoles Magnificat plus seasonal carols and songs for the holidays. The concert will begin at 4:00 PM and is free though a small donation is requested. On Friday, December 8th, enjoy the beautifully decorated grounds of Brookwood Hall as the Town hosts a FREE Holiday Drive-in Movie featuring The Grinch Movie, sponsored by Good Samaritan University Hospital, a member of Catholic Health.

The movie will begin at 7pm. The donation of non-perishable food is appreciated. Admission is FREE.

PALS Plein Air Limner Society presents Paint and Colors of Long Island, their 14 Annual Art Exhibit, at the BAFFA Art Gallery on December 9 and 10. The exhibit features paintings from local artists who have created their works in Plein Air, outdoors, on the spot, featuring the amazing beauty of Long Island. The exhibit can be viewed on both days from noon to 4 PM. The BAFFA Art Gallery is located in the Gillette House at 47 Gillette Avenue in Sayville.

Spread some holiday cheer to the many animals waiting for their "fur-ever" home this season by donating to the Islip Animal Shelter and Adopt-a-Pet Center's Annual Holiday Pet Toy Drive.

The Toy Drive will be held on Saturday, December 16th from 11am to 3pm. Collection bins will be set up in the Shelter Lobby for easy drop off.

The Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts (BAFFA) invites you to its first-ever Holiday Pop-Up Artisan Show on Saturday and Sunday, December 16th and 17th from noon to 4:00 PM. The Pop-Up Show features artwork by local artisans that sells for $100.00 or less.

Also featured will be BAFFA’s Victorian Carolers and a sing-a-long, and a live reading of Silver Packages, a Christmas story, on Saturday afternoon. Sunday afternoon will feature holiday favorites by pianist, Maurice Kemp, and a live reading of Snowmen at Night.

Children are invited to color a coloring book page, created by local artists, that will be displayed in the BAFFA Art Gallery. There will be a raffle to win two free tickets to any Main Stage performance at the CM Performing Arts Center.
