Shredding Day

The Town of Islip DEC will be hosting its annual Shredding Day on Saturday, June 8th, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Recycling Facility located at 1155 Lincoln Avenue, Holbrook, NY 11741.
Islip 335 - Living History at the Islip Grange

On Saturday, June 8th, 2019, come be a part of the living history of Islip Town, as we celebrate our rich legacy and heritage as part of the ongoing 335th Town of Islip Birthday celebrations. Festivities will begin at 10:00am at the Islip Grange and will include historic tours, games, acitivites, food trucks and ancestry look-up. See the below schedule for additional event details.

10:00am – Open to the Public, all displays, and continual events start
10:00am – First Walking Tour of Grange Park – Starts at Town of Islip Tent
11:00am – “The Growth of Faith in Islip Town” – Program in the Chapel
12:00pm – Second Walking Tour of Grange Park – Starts at Town of Islip Tent
1:00pm – “Telefunken” – Program in the Chapel
2:00pm – Walking Tour of Grange Park – Starts at Town of Islip Tent
3:00pm – “Interactive Town Hall Meeting of the Early Years” – Program in the Chapel
