NYS requires all watercraft operators to obtain Safety Boater Certification by January 1, 2025. Boaters born on or after January 1st, 1978, must be certified by 2024. Don't miss this opportunity to get your certification before the end of the year!

Improper disposal of household hazardous waste can be harmful to our environment and community. To ensure potentially hazardous and harmful substances are handled safely and disposed of correctly, residents should bring Household Hazardous Waste directly to our Multi-Purpose Recycling Facility. To help facilitate this, each Spring the Town offers one special Saturday drop-off day (S.T.O.P. Day), in addition to facility's usual operating hours of Monday through Friday, from 7:00am–2:30pm.

This year, S.T.O.P. Day will be hosted on Saturday, May 18th, 2024 from 9:00am–2:00pm.

Be sure to Download and complete the S.T.O.P. Day form prior to the event, and bring it with you on Saturday, May 18th. See below for a list of acceptable items, or review the form via the download link above.
