April 14th, 2023 – – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, members of the NYPD’s EMS and DEA units joined family and friends of NYPD Det. Harry D’Onofrio at a street renaming in his honor. Born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of a New York City Police Department officer, Harry was destined for a life of service to others. At just 18 years old, Harry joined the West Sayville Fire Department, where he served as a member for an extraordinary 43 years, rising to the rank of chief from 2000-2001.

April 13th, 2023 – Children of all ages, and those young at heart, are enjoying Sayville's newest playground at Sayville Marina Park. Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter; Councilman James P. O'Connor; Councilman John M. Lorenzo; Tom Owens, Commissioner Town of Islip Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs and Deirdre Wahlberg, Deputy Commissioner, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs joined with local residents to cut the ribbon at the new facility along the picturesque Great South Bay.

April 13th, 2023 – Players, parents, family and friends gathered for the WI Little League’s Annual Opening Day festivities! Hundreds turned out to enjoy food, bounce houses, face painting, music and the Parade of the Players.

Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by local elected officials and representatives from the American Legion.

April 7th, 2023 – Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter welcomed the Veterans of the Westhampton/Hampton Bays VFW on their tour of Islip’s own Long Island MacArthur Airport. Alongside representatives from the TSA, the group visited law enforcement, fire rescue and maintenance facilities, as well as Southwest Airlines, prior to stopping for photos next to the General Douglas MacArthur Memorial located in the main concourse.
