August 12, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter recently attended a luncheon to recognize and thank summer interns in the Town's Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs who are leaving for college.
August 12th, 2021 – Islip Town Councilman John C. Cochrane Jr. attended the birthday celebration for Estelle Kaczanowski, who this year turned 102 years old. Estelle is a lifelong resident of West Islip, born August 11, 1919, and was part of the Babylon High School Class of 1937.
August 12th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter recently attended the 27th Annual Clam Shucking Contest at Nicky’s on the Bay in Bay Shore, an event sponsored by the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition and their partner, Good Samaritan Hospital.
August 10th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter attended the opening performance of “We Will Rock You” at CM Performing Arts in Oakdale. The play is a tribute to the musical group Queen, and features more than 20 of their top hits. This is CM Performing Arts’ 47th season, and the first since the COVID-19 pandemic.
