October 5th, 2022 – The Ross Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brentwood hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter, NYS Senator Phil Boyle and community leaders.
October 3rd, 2022 – The Town of Islip in partnership with the Town of Babylon and Northwell Health kicked-off the Pink By the Bay Breast Cancer Awareness campaign by lighting the Town Hall Cupolas Pink.
September 28th, 2022 – The Islip Arts Council Gallery in the Westfield Shopping Center in Bay Shore hosted the Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center annual Art Expressions Exhibit recently. The Art Expression Program is a vehicle used for people to stimulate their mind through art making.
September 26th, 2022 – The Stroke & Brain Aneurysm Center of Long Island at Good Samaritan Hospital is celebrating its 5th anniversary, in which they have treated more than 7,000 patients.
September 23rd, 2022 – Yaaas Bubble Tea opened its doors in Hauppauge. Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with Kelly Zhou, CEO and Founder of YAAAS TEA at a ribbon cutting ceremony marking the opening of the company's third Long Island store.
September 22nd, 2022 – The Town of Islip once again hosted its annual Health Fair at the Caesar Trunzo Senior Center in Brentwood. Seniors had the opportunity to receive flu shots donated and administered by Good Samaritan Hospital, a member of Catholic Health. Catholic Health additionally offered nutritional information, and trauma demonstrations, along with 30 other area organizations, who were on hand to provide information about Alzheimer’s disease, respite care and beneficial lifestyle choices.
September 15th, 2022 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by members of the Town Board to celebrate the contributions and accomplishments of 5 residents, as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. The ceremony returned to the Islip Town agenda after a two year COVID hiatus. Hispanic Heritage Month begins Thursday, September 15.
