April 24th, 2020 Stanley's Bakery of East Islip gave away 80 loaves of free Italian bread to local residents in need Thursday. The much-loved bakery has been a fixture in the community for more than 60 years.

April 22nd, 2020 Today, April 22, 2020 marks the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. Town of Islip officials are reminding residents to maximize their recycling opportunities by recycling bottles, cans, paper, cardboard and plastics. Be mindful of taking care of your yard waste and continue to mulch your grass. The Town of Islip compost facility remains open.

April 16th, 2020 The owners of Towne Cleaners in Central Islip are doing their part to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in and around their community. La Young Trantrum’s family has owned Towne Cleaners and Laundromat on Carleton Ave for approximately 30 years.

April 15th, 2020 Sheila Solomon and Randy Levy tied the knot and their protective face masks Tuesday, on the steps of Town Hall! The bride and groom were joined by loving family and friends who adhered to social distancing protocols during the ceremony.
