A Message from the Supervisor

“Welcome to Islip, the 3rd largest town in New York State, but with an endearing small town feel. We are so proud of our town…our beaches, golf courses, marinas, parks, housing opportunities for all, businesses, industrial parks, healthcare and educational institutions including our own Islip MacArthur Airport that provides many job opportunities. I sincerely hope you find this website helpful.” Angie

December 10th, 2021 Christmas came early for the members of the Suffolk Detachment Marines Corps League in Bay Shore, who discovered an abundance of anonymously donated toys on the steps of its Bay Shore office recently. Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, Councilman John C. Cochrane, Jr. and Town of Islip Youth Bureau Director, Tim Mare, were joined by members of the Suffolk Detachment Marines Corps League who graciously donated the toys to the Town of Islip “Marines Toys for Tots” toy drive. Games, dolls, cars, and stuffed animals were among the many gifts that will be distributed through the program to children within the Town of Islip community.

December 9th, 2021 Town of Islip employees went above and beyond this holiday season, generously giving to the 2021 Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. Town staff adopted more than 60 “Angels,” and carefully selected toys, bicycles, dolls, clothing, games and more from each child’s wish list. Gifts were bundled, labeled and taken back to Salvation Army headquarters in Northport, where they’ll be distributed to families in need.
