July 7th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter met with members of Central Islip Connect for Change to present them with Town of Islip Certificates of Appreciation on behalf of the Town Board, for their efforts to beautify the grounds of the Central Islip Recreation Center. The group constructed planter boxes, and planted flowers around the Recreation Center welcome sign.

July 2nd, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Veteran Navy Captain Councilman John Cochrane attended the annual Fourth of July Barbecue hosted by the United Veterans Beacon House in Bay Shore. The event honors veterans for their service and provides an opportunity for socializing.
