May 28th, 2021 –Islip Town Supervisor, Angie Carpenter welcomed the USAF Thunderbirds and their team to LI MacArthur Airport Thursday, in advance of what hopes to be another Memorial Day Air Show at Jones Beach.
May 28th, 2021 –Officials from Suffolk County, NYS Coast Guard and the Town of Islip gathered at a press conference to urge safe boating, as people gear up to celebrate the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by Stuart Cameron, Acting Suffolk County Police Commissioner, among others, to remind anyone who may be on the water this weekend to have fun, but to do so safely.
May 25th, 2021 – DEC Commissioner Martin Bellew together with Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter, welcomed new interns to the Town's first-ever Shellfish Hatchery internship program.
May 18th, 2021 – Jesse Dellavecchia, a Great River resident and East Islip High School graduate, was celebrated by Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, Town Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen, Councilwoman Trish Bergin, and Babylon Town Supervisor, Rich Schaffer this week, for his accomplishments in collegiate wrestling this year.
May 7th, 2021 – Town officials and neighbors looked on, as two vacant properties in Bay Shore were razed this week. The properties, located at 4 and 8 Thomas Dr., were part of an unfinished 9 lot subdivision known as Island Woods.
