March 22nd, 2023 – Main St. in the hamlet of Islip welcomed new small business, GrowinShade! Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined store owners Kandice Rodgers and her husband Aaron Holmes of Central Islip at the ribbon cutting ceremony marking the store's official grand opening.

March 17th, 2023 – Family and friends of longtime West Islip resident Anthony Scuderi turned out for a car parade celebrating his 99th birthday this week. "If I ever reach 99 or 100, I want a parade to come down the block,” Anthony once told his daughter, Maria. “Me, being the love of shenanigans, those words I never forgot,” she said. “And being the dad and the man he is, I wanted to fulfill his wish,” she added.

March 17th, 2023 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and the Islip Town Board honored the East Islip Boys’ Varsity Wrestling Team and the Brentwood Varsity Cheerleaders at the March Town Board Meeting.

March 2, 2023 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter presented her annual State of the Town address Wednesday, standing firm against recent proposals from Albany that could diminish local autonomy and push aside local zoning laws. The Supervisor also announced plans for a new Town Comprehensive Plan, and reemphasized the policies and programs that have helped Islip thrive these past eight years.
