– Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, joined by Receiver of Taxes Andy Wittman and Town Clerk Linda D. Vavricka, kicked off St. Patrick's Day celebrations by lighting the Town Hall cupola green. Suffolk County Legislator Tom Donnelly, representing Babylon Town, and members of the East Islip and Babylon Hibernians were also in attendance.

– Town of Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter, Councilman Mike McElwee and Town Clerk Linda Vavricka presented South Shore University Hospital and Good Samaritan University Hospital each with checks for $200 to their respective heart health research programs. The funds were raised through the Town’s annual “Wear Red Day” during the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women initiative designed to increase women’s heart health awareness.

Guest speaker, Kevin Law, Chairman, Empire State Development Corporation and Executive Vice President of TRITEC Real Estate discussed what 2024 holds for Long Island's Economic Development Future.
