April 22nd, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter presented her annual State of the Town address Wednesday, praising town employees and residents for coming together and showing their strength and resolve during the COVID-19 pandemic.
April 20th, 2021 – Central Islip HS Senior Twyla Joseph received a Certificate of Recognition from Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, on behalf of the members of the Town Board recently. Twyla, whose story of the struggles of virtual learning, anxiety and college selection during COVID-19, reflects the story of millions of young students struggling during the pandemic, graced the cover of Time magazine in an April story, "The Lost Year."
April 16, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter met with officers from the Suffolk County Police Department, to discuss ways in which residents can keep themselves and their loved ones safe while using the internet and social media.
April 16th, 2021 – Islip High School and Middle School students were recently recognized by Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter, for participating in the American Legion Virtual Walk-A-Thon.
The students raised more than $1,000 for the Rusy Bohm Post 411 Auxiliary in Islip. The monies will be distributed among various Veterans programs.
April 14th, 2021 – Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk made the American Dream a reality for a local family who was given the keys to their new Central Islip home Wednesday. The home was renovated entirely by Habitat for Humanity volunteers.
April 7th, 2021 – The owners of Angela's Pizza, Tara and Vincent DiMaio, celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon-cutting under bright, sunny skies Wednesday.
