January 13th, 2021 – Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter recently presented Anthony “Tony” Sciallo with a citation marking his retirement from the Town of Islip. Tony began his career with the Town at the WRAP facility in 1987; a year later, he moved to the shellfish hatchery cultivating clams and oysters for the next 24 years.
December 10th, 2020–Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter recently met with 5 freshmen from Sayville High School, to honor them for their efforts to help the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The students, Molly Brady, Courtney Thornton, Fallon Santoro, Elizabeth Sheehan and Loghan McNamara, created a GoFundMe page to raise money for “Little Free Pantries,” to help residents experiencing food insecurities.

December 14th, 2020 – Hundreds of cars turned out for the Town of Islip's FREE Drive-In Movie Sunday night at Brookwood Hall in East Islip. The final movie of the ever popular drive-in series was ELF, starring Will Ferrell.
December 11th, 2020– Town of Islip employees went above and beyond this holiday season, giving generously to the 2020 Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. Town staff adopted more than 60 “Angels,” and carefully selected toys, bicycles, dolls, clothing, games and more from each child’s wish list. Gifts were bundled, labeled and taken back to Salvation Army headquarters in Northport, where they’ll be distributed to families in need
