September 17th, 2020 – The Town of Islip Public Safety Division graduated 12 Peace Officers from its in-house training academy this week, the third Islip Town-run peace academy training program of its kind.

September 14th, 2020 – The memory of Sayville resident Robert Zane Jr. was honored by his family, the community and First Responders at a street renaming and dedication ceremony in the hamlet recently. Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and members of the Town Board visited with the Zane family.
September 11th, 2020 – Reinald "Ray" Sanchez, a cherished member of the Sayville Marina Park community, retired from the Town of Islip after 19 years of service as a park attendant there.
September 10th, 2020 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and members of the Town Board, are proud to announce that during its annual meeting last week, the New York State Economic Development Council presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to William Mannix, Director of the Town of Islip’s Office of Economic Development.

September 3rd, 2020 – Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with the Town of Islip Public Safety Department, at a walk-out ceremony marking the retirement of Park Ranger Thomas Keane. Tom has been with the Town’s Public Safety Department for over 30 years, in that time serving as a Union Representative for the Park Rangers, as well as a leader and mentor to the younger rangers who joined the force. Throughout his tenure, Tom has had a positive influence on his fellow officers and members of the community.
September 2nd, 2020 – Dozens of kids attended their last day at the Town of Islip Byron Lake Summer Camp recently. Camp goers and counselors reflected on the fun activities they enjoyed during their time spent at the beautiful lakeside setting, and vowed to return next summer.
