July 15th, 2020 – Participants were out early enjoying Pilates on the beach in West Islip. The program is presented by the Town of Islip Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, and runs Tuesday mornings from 8 am to 9 am through September 1 at West Islip Beach.
July 13th, 2020 – Long Island MacArthur Airport’s West Terminal Apron is getting a face-lift. Construction began this week to remove and replace 28,000SY of concrete for the first time in 34 years. The project will take approximately four months, and is anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2020.

June 29th, 2020 – Navy Commander Diane Gardner returned from Kandahar, Afghanistan to a hero's welcome Friday at the Town of Islip's Long Island MacArthur Airport. The Kings Park resident and mother of four is a graduate of St. Anthony's High School Class of 1987 where she played for the women's softball team.
