April 24th, 2020 – Stanley's Bakery of East Islip gave away 80 loaves of free Italian bread to local residents in need Thursday. The much-loved bakery has been a fixture in the community for more than 60 years.

Town of Islip officials are reminding residents to maximize their recycling opportunities by recycling bottles, cans, paper, cardboard and plastics. Be mindful of taking care of your yard waste and continue to mulch your grass. The Town of Islip compost facility remains open.
