June 10th, 2020 – Outdoor dining reopened today with tables spaced 6' apart. More than 50 restaurants in the Town of Islip were granted temporary outdoor dining/tent permits in preparation for the June 10th Phase-Two reopening.

Come to the Dick’s Sporting Goods parking lot of the Westfield South Shore Mall in Bay Shore on Monday, June 15 and enjoy Mary Poppins Returns. Gates open at 7 pm and the movie begins at 8:30 pm.
June 5th, 2020 – Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr.; Senator Phil Boyle and Youth Enrichment Services, CEO MaryAnn Pfeiffer, to distribute masks and hand sanitizer made by county and state inmates, to residents of one local community.
June 2nd, 2020 – Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter along with members of the Town Board, today announced that after years of advocating for roadwork improvements along route 27A in Bay Shore and Islip, New York State road crews began milling and resurfacing the area overnight.
June 1st, 2020 – Timber Point Elementary School staff held a "Honk and Wave" parade this week. There was mutual admiration between students and their teachers, as both groups held signs of love and support and well wishes for a safe and happy summer.
May 27th, 2020 – The Islip Middle School staff, lead by school principal Dr. Timothy Martin and assistant principal Jason Cohen hosted a lawn chair parade Tuesday around the high school and middle school campus for students in grades 6 through 8.
