January 31st, 2020 St. Patrick School in Bay Shore celebrated Catholic Schools Week with a visit from Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Bishop John Barres, Diocese of Rockville Center. Father Sean Gann led the celebration which included prayer, song and the presentation of a Town Citation by Supervisor Carpenter.

January 30th, 2020 Meghan O'Reilly, a junior at SUNY New Paltz, was recognized by Supervisor Angie Carpenter at Town Hall recently. The East Islip High School graduate completed a mural of an oyster's life cycle this summer at the Town's Shellfish Hatchery in East Islip.
