February 12th, 2020 The Islip Town Board celebrated the Brentwood Boys Varsity Soccer team on their NYS Title this year. The team won the New York State Championship defeating Fairport 4-0 in the State finals. This is Brentwood’s 4th State Soccer Title!

February 13th, 2020 Yu “Kevin” Zhu, a senior at Central Islip High School, was honored at the February Islip Town Board meeting, for becoming the first student in the district's history to enter the Regeneron Science Talent Search Competition and earn a spot in the semi-finals.

February 11th, 2020 Town of Islip Department of Public Works crews were out in the early morning hours Tuesday, addressing flooding at Grant Ave. and Moffitt Blvd. in Islip.

"Our pump trucks remove 700 gallons of water per minute, and our crews are prepared for any weather eventuality," said DPW Commissioner Tom Owens.

February 11th, 2020 Islip Receiver of Taxes Alexis Weik and her staff recently completed CPR/AED training. The effort was coordinated by Arthur Abbate, Director of Labor Relations and Personnel and Jennifer Crossley, Town of Islip Safety Officer. The training took place in early February, during Heart Health month.
