August 14th, 2019 Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined Nancy Cochran, Executive Director of Keep Islip Clean, Tom Owens, Commissioner Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs & DPW, Deputy Commissioner Deirdre Whalberg, and members of Girl Scout Troop 1106 this week, for a dedication ceremony to unveil the Scouts’ latest project, a painted can project. The girls of Troop 1106 each decorated their own can that will be placed throughout parks within the Town of Islip.

August 13th, 2019 Islip Town officials were on hand for the demolition of a “zombie” property on Middle Rd. in Bayport Monday morning. Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Town Board Member Mary Kate Mullen were joined by crews from Panzer Demolition who conducted the razing at 637 Middle Rd. in Bayport.

August 6th, 2019- Town of Islip officials celebrated the grand opening of a new trailer for its summer camp at Byron Lake Park this week.

Town of Islip campers received a visit from Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter, Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen, and Receiver of Taxes Alexis Weik, along with Tom Owens, Commissioner of DPW & Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs and Deputy Commissioner Deirdre Whalberg, at a Ribbon Cutting ceremony unveiling a new trailer at Byron Lake Park in Oakdale.

July 25th, 2019 Restaurants and merchants in Islip, East Islip, Great River, Holbrook and Ronkonkoma will help the Town of Islip continue its year-long 335th birthday celebration by offering specials throughout the month of August.

Customers will find items priced at $16.83 or $3.35, which commemorate 1683, the year the Town received its first patent, or the Town's birthday year, 335.
