November 4th, 2019 The Town of Islip's Division of Senior Citizens hosted its annual Fall Ball Monday. The sold-out event brought more than 200 residents together for an afternoon of dining and dancing. This is the first year the Fall Ball was hosted at Captain Bill's Restaurant in Bay Shore.

October 30th, 2019 Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with members of the First Baptist Church of Bay Shore to spruce up 5 homes on Harrison Ave. and Harrison Place recently. The initiative, Spruce Up Bay Shore, brings volunteers together to paint, repair porches and do all they can to help fix-up homes in the area.

October 25th, 2019 Town of Islip officials broke ground in Central Islip today, in preparation for what will be the new location of a more than 17,000 sf state-of-the-art animal shelter, complete with an on-site surgical room and double the number of viewing rooms.
