October 9th, 2019 – Town Council members John C. Cochrane, Jr., and Mary Kate Mullen, joined Town Historian George Munkenback at the Islip Grange in Sayville recently, to participate in a reenactment of the 1860s period in US history.

October 9th, 2019 – Town Councilman, John C. Cochrane, Jr. recently joined in recognizing the many heroes in our community, at both the annual Bay Shore Fire Department “Thank You” BBQ, as well as the East Islip Fair. Meeting with Community Ambulance member Gene DeMott, and Robert Huse of the Bay Shore Fire Department, Councilman Cochrane gave his appreciation for all the emergency service men and women who continue to keep our residents safe year round.
October 7th, 2019 – More than 350 runners and walkers took to the streets of Islip Sunday for a 5 Mile Run/5K Walk to raise money for the Islip Breast Cancer Coalition.
Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter emceed the award ceremony, which included presenting a 1st Place Overall Medal to Town employee Mark Chasanoff, as well as to medal winner Town Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen, the first female to cross the finish line.
October 7th, 2019 – Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center officials celebrated the opening of a comprehensive cancer center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony recently.
Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with fellow local officials, hospital administrators, doctors, surgeons and volunteers, to welcome the new center to the community.
October 3rd, 2019 – Hundreds of pets and their owners turned out for the Town of Isllp's FREE Rabies Vaccination Clinic at Brookwood Hall on a recent summer-like day.
"We're delighted to offer these free rabies vaccines provided by the Suffolk County Health Department," said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. "Pets are family members, and their health is equally important," added the Supervisor.
October 3rd, 2019 – Hundreds turned out for the Town of Islip's 3rd Annual SeaFest Saturday at the Bay Shore Marina. Summer-like temperatures warmed the air along the Great South Bay, as children and adults enjoyed a Petting Zoo, Arts and Crafts, LIVE music, Food Trucks and craft vendors.
October 2nd, 2019 – Town officials, Northwell Health administrators, community activists, volunteers and local dignitaries gathered at Town Hall Tuesday, to kick-off Pink by the Bay, recognizing October as Breast Cancer Awareness month, with the simultaneous lighting of the Islip and Babylon Town Hall cupolas pink for the month of October.
