June 21st, 2023 – Family members together with Veterans gathered outside the American Legion Rusy-Bohm Post 411 to memorialize past Commander, Dominick DeCrescenzo of Islip by dedicating a flagpole in his memory. Dominick was a longtime NYC sanitation worker and a proud US Army Veteran. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, cherished grandfather of 9 and a great grandfather of 8.
June 13th, 2023 – Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and the Islip Town Board recognized the talented students and vocalists of the Sweet Adelines, Central Islip High School’s Treble Choir, during the June Town Board meeting.
June 13th, 2023 – Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter and the Islip Town Board recognized five scholar athletes from Central Islip High School recently, at the Islip June Town Board meeting.
June 13th, 2023 – Doug Jansen, Golf Professional at the Brentwood Country Club was recognized Tuesday at the June Islip Town Board meeting. Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter alongside the Islip Town Board, congratulated Mr. Jansen for recently being named the Metropolitan PGA 2022 Merchandiser of the Year Award (Public).
June 8th, 2023 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined members of American Legion Rusy Bohm Post 411, to honor 21 high school seniors from around the Town who will join the Armed Forces upon graduation.
June 7th, 2023 – The Town of Islip Youth Bureau was the grateful recipient of dozens of prom dresses, suits, shoes and accessories donated by Islip High School students, faculty and residents from the community.
May 18th, 2023 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and members of the Islip Town Board were joined by state, county and local officials at the Town’s Boater Safety Press Conference at the Bay Shore Marina.
