A Message from the Supervisor

“Welcome to Islip, the 3rd largest town in New York State, but with an endearing small town feel. We are so proud of our town…our beaches, golf courses, marinas, parks, housing opportunities for all, businesses, industrial parks, healthcare and educational institutions including our own Islip MacArthur Airport that provides many job opportunities. I sincerely hope you find this website helpful.” Angie

The Image of a Loved One: an exhibition of portraits, landscapes, and still life.

Sat. 21 Oct, 2023 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

This featured exhibit at the BAFFA Art Gallery in Sayville will be hosted October 21 and 22. The artist, Catherine Rezin, after a career as a textile designer, turned to painting landscapes and portraits after retirement. She especially loves painting “portraits commissioned by families to memorialize moments in time or lost loved ones. Her desire is to give back to those brave and dedicated people who serve us in so many ways…”.

Exhibit hours are 1 to 4 PM on October 21 and 22. An artist’s reception will be held on the 21st from 1-4 PM. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
