Islip, NY – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter would like to advise residents that today, August 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm FEMA and the FCC are planning a Nationwide Emergency Alert Test. The test will include messages sent to TVs, radios, and cell phones.

The Emergency alert test signal will last about five minutes, interrupting the scheduled programming. Once the test is complete, residents may need to reboot their equipment to resume watching TV.
